The Official Magnificent Mile Chicago Women's Half Marathon — August 31st

We have created a fantastic 12-week program that will prepare you for the race on August 31st, no matter what your experience level is. Our experienced coaches will determine the optimal training program for you and then guide you every step of the way.

The CES Magnificent Mile Chicago Women's Half Marathon Training Program includes two coached workouts every week to focus on building endurance and improving form and speed!

Three Locations to Choose From!

The Magnificent Mile Chicago Women's Half Marathon Training program will now be available at ALL THREE Chicago-area Fleet Feet Sports stores! This gives us a WARM, DRY place to start, a safe place for your personals, and a fun place to have coffee or breakfast with your running buddies after the long runs!

Group training sessions are held twice/week at each location:

  • Fleet Feet Sports — Old Town (1620 N. Wells Street, Chicago)
    Tuesday, 6:30pm & Sunday, 7:00am
  • Fleet Feet Sports — Lincoln Square (4762 N. Lincoln Ave., Chicago)
    Wednesday, 6:30pm & Saturday, 7:00am
  • Fleet Feet Sports — South Loop (150 W. Roosevelt, In the Roosevelt Collection)
    Thursday, 6:30pm & Sunday, 7:00am

You get to pick the location that works the best for you! This also means that if you can't make it to your regular location, you can still join the gang at the other store! Everybody wins!

CES Training Open House

Chicago Endurance Sports will be hosting an Open House at all three of our training locations. Attendees will have the opportunity to run with the CES Pace Team, meet and converse with CES Coaches, register for the training program, and those who are registered for the Magnificent Mile Chicago Women's Half Marathon Training will be able to pick up their training packet (premium included). The Open House is free to those who RSVP.

New Member Orientation

CES will present all of the information and inspiration a new member needs after our first workouts on June 14th and 15th. The program will explain training peaks, our coaching philosophies, how to contact coaches, and the common habits of our most successful participants.

Tuesday/Wednesdays/Thursdays — 6:30pm at Fleet Feet Sports (we'll meet at the store, then head out for our run)

The focus of these mid-week runs will be on form, strength and speed. Our coaching staff will be on hand to help teach, challenge and motivate you!

Saturdays/Sundays — 6:00am and 6:30am at Fleet Feet Sports (we'll meet at the store, then head out for the run)

These days are reserved for the long, slow distance runs that are so important to the success of endurance runners. Pace Leaders are available to guide you at the appropriate pace. Our coaches will also run with you to motivate you and help with any concerns or questions that come up along the way.

BONUS: Restrooms, changing rooms, secure gear storage and water are available at all of our group training sessions!

While we always strive to have more than enough pace group leaders, please be aware that we depend on the availability of qualified, dependable people. We will do our best to fill all of the above listed pace groups, but can't guarantee anything! Do you live too far away and can't make it to the group workouts? Can't make it to any of the Group training sessions because of conflicts?

No problem! Try our Virtual Training option and you'll receive your daily training schedule and coaching support online (via Training Peaks), access to race day amenities, as well as the weekly email newsletter with coaching tips, race updates and more. The virtual program is a great way to train on your own with virtual support from a helpful team of coaches.
