The end of summer doesn't have to mean the end of running. If you've been training all summer & fall, chances are you're in the best shape you've been in all season.

If you haven't been running, no worries, this is the perfect way to get 2013 off to a fit start. The CES Winter Warriors Training Program will help your shape — especially during the "challenging" holiday season. Oh, and let's not forget to mention the most important thing: It's a lot of fun!

Two Locations to Choose From!

The Winter Warriors program will once again be available at BOTH Chicago-area Fleet Feet Sports stores! Group training sessions are held twice/week at each location:

  • Wednesdays & Saturdays at the Old Town location (1620 N. Wells St) OR
  • Thursdays & Sundays at the Lincoln Square location (4762 N. Lincoln)

You get to pick the location that works the best for you! This also means that if you can't make it to your regular location, you can still join the gang at the other store! Everybody wins!

Training Program Information Meeting

Join us at our Informational Kickoff Meeting, 11:00am Sunday, November 11th, 2012 — Hosted at Fleet Feet Sports, Old Town (1620 N. Wells St.)

Meet our coaches, ask questions (and get answers!) and have fun with a free raffle and giveaways. Learn valuable training tips from our expert Running Coaches. In addition, the experts at Fleet Feet Sports will provide essential shoe and clothing tips for comfortable Winter Running! If the program hasn't sold out, registration will be available after the meeting. And don't worry — we won't make you run… yet! Just dress casually and bring a great attitude!!

Parking options at Fleet Feet Sports, Old Town:

FIRST GROUP TRAINING SESSION:

For a little more detail on what happens at those sessions, read on...

Wednesdays/Thursdays — 6:30pm at Fleet Feet Sports (we'll meet at the store, then head out for our run)

The focus of these mid-week runs will be on form, strength & speed. Our coaching staff will be on hand to help teach, challenge and motivate you!

Saturdays/Sundays — 7:30am and 7:50am at Fleet Feet Sports (we'll meet at the store, then head out for the run)

These days are reserved for the long, slow distance runs that are so important to the success of endurance runners. Pace Leaders are available to guide you at the appropriate pace. Our coaches will also run with you to motivate you and help with any concerns or questions that come up along the way.

BONUS: Restrooms, changing rooms, secure gear storage and water are available at all of our group training sessions!

We're extremely proud of our professional, experienced coaching staff — they always go the extra mile to make sure you have a fun, successful training season! Why is it so important to have qualified coaches? They can:

  • Evaluate and suggest ways to improve your running form
  • Assist you if you need to adjust your training schedule, in the event of an injury or missed training due to travel or life in general

Winter Warriors: Triathlon Edition

Is a triathlon in your sights for 2013? Consider bundling this training program in the Triathlon Edition of Winter Warriors to make it a great success. Imagine making it through Chicago's brutal winter as an improved swimmer, cyclist, and runner just as others are beginning their first week of training. That will give you a leg up on the competition! Not to mention, you'll be saving a great deal of money compared to registering for all three programs.
